ORIGINAL SLIPWARE
My earthenware pottery reflects the rolling land of Devon where I live, its great contrast of colours, and of course the human form. I find inspiration in pre-industrial pottery and the old ceramics of China and Japan. Using red clay with slips, some wheel-thrown some slab-made on moulds with simple glazes, I like to make things which are essentially good to use. (All safe in the oven and modern appliances.)
